Bedtime Routine
A bedtime routine will help you wind down from a long day. Create a routine you can stick to every night.
An hour or two before bed start dimming the lights in the house or use red lights and turn off any you aren’t using. Create an ambiance of tranquility. Light scented candles and put on the diffuser in your room to fill the air with relaxing oils to calm your nervous system.
Take a bath 1/2 hour before you turn in or a hot shower if you don’t like baths. Fill the bath with Epsom salt and calming bath oil. For the shower make a spray bottle of water and essential oils and spray on the wall to diffuse into the steamy air.
To help with insomnia doctors say to keep electronics out of the bedroom even a t.v. If you can’t get rid of the t.v in your room turn it off an hour before the normal time you fall asleep.
