Lymph cleansing bath

During stressful times of the year especially the holidays we can feel off balance. Seasonal depression can trigger this feeling also. My go-to when I am not feeling 100% is a lymph bath. The ingredients mimic our own lymph fluid in the body which is the highway for toxin release.

The lymphatic system is the system in our bodies that is essential for our immune system and protects us from infections and removes toxins helping us stay in balance. It is one of the most important systems that keeps inflammation down, fights bacterial and viral infections, and cancers by maintaining a balance in our fluids.

Toxins can easily build up in our bodies from our environment via air pollution, contaminated water supply, contaminated food from pesticides and chemical products in our homes. This is why we should detox these things when we start to feel sluggish. I start by taking a bath every night with Epsom salt but once a week I do the lymph bath recipe. This bath helps to balance the lymph system and push out toxins. When your system is in balance you will not have fluid build-up or retain water.

Women are especially affected because these toxins act as hormone disruptors. Hormone disruptors can affect how we feel, changes in moods, and our weight. More on this in another post.

If you can not take a bath do a foot soak, we can experience the same effects through our feet.
